Challenge: Measurements on high pressure reactor with data logging and image logging. There is also a need to control speed of mixing with a magnetic stirrer in the reactor.
Solution: System is based on NI cDAQ 9172 chassis. We have attached several analog and digital I/O modules to this chassis. System measures temperature, pressure, mass flow and distance(volume). Additionally the system enables user to mix chemical agents in a reactor, which is done with a digital I/O card and special circuit, which drives 4 electromagnets that spin magnetic stirrer in a reactor. System includes CVS 1454, which is used for image acqusition using a CCD camera. All systems are wired together to a computer with an application, which is used for data acqusition, display, data logging and enables the user to take control over the mixing process in the reactor.
