Measuring system is developed for heater plugs production control. It is intended for precise measuring of parts produced for diesel engines.
The system distinguishes due to high-resolution cameras (up to 1260×980), which are set on four stations of the production line, where the products that are coming through the line are measured up to a couple of hundreds of a millimetre precisely. The cameras are connected to Compact Vision processing unit, which is produced by National Instruments. Another speciality of this system is the appropriate selection of light conditions, because the lighting must be collimated (parallel source of light) as much as possible, because heater plugs have a very high reflectance of light..
