Images
Figures submitted in electronic form should be sent as TIFF files
for raster images (bitmaps) or PS format for vector images. TIFF
files should have 200-300 dpi resolution for colour or greyscale
images and 600 dpi for black and white images. If necessary,
please contact the Editorial office for additional information on
figure preparation.
Figures and Tables Figures and Tables should be in a form and condition suitable for
publication across a single column (8 cm - font size 10) or a whole
page (18 cm - font size 12). The minimum font size of characters
is 10. Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively in
Arabic numerals (e.g., Fig. 1a,b; Table 1) and headed with a short
title. If not electronically submitted, they should be printed on
separate pages and the preferred point of insertion indicated in the
text margin (e.g., insert Fig. 1). Figures and tables should be placed
at the end of the manuscript following the reference section. Each
figure and table should be accompanied by a self-explanatory legend.
Micrographs should be sent as glossy prints with magnification
indicated by a scale bar. Electronic submission is preferred.
