SIZE AND SHAPE FACTOR EXTREMES OF SPHEROIDS

In the paper we consider random prolate (oblate) spheroids and their random proles. The limiting distribution
of the extremal characteristics of the spheroids is related to the limiting distribution of the corresponding
extremal characteristics of the proles. The difference between the analysis of the prolate and oblate spheroids
is discussed. We propose the possible application of the theoretical results.
